MERCERISERS CHAINLESS MERCERISING RANGE
(MODEL - BU)
Swastik offers Mercerisers based on two different
principles and also in combination of both principles to suit all kinds of
fabrics.
Merceriser BU operates on "Buoyancy Principle" and is simple in design and
easy to maintain. Lower Roller is floating and is completely immersed in
Caustic Lye. Squeezing action between lower stainless steel floating
rollers and the upper fixed rollers gives uniform squeezing effect.
A heavy squeezer is placed at the end of Impregnator with a load of 40 kN
to ensure minimum caustic carry over from the impregnator to the
stabiliser.
The machine can be equipped with a Pre-Impregnating unit to impregnate the
fabric with lower concentration Caustic Lye coming out from the Stabiliser.
Fabric Feeding can be from loose material or large batches or on request
through a scray with draw-in nip for continuous operation.
A set of Three Curved Bar Rubber Expanders is provided at the entry for
crease-free fabric entry to the impregnating zone.
The machine is suitable for working one or two ends side by side and/or
for working two end of fabrics superimposed.
The machine is supplied with Heavy Squeezing Nips for Impregnator,
stabiliser and Final Wash box with pressure up to 40kN
Stabiliser is similar to Impregnator but is closed, and suitable to
operate at high temperature. A heavy squeezer with a pressure applicable
up to 40 kN is placed at the end of Stabiliser.
The machine is normally supplied for Room-Temperature Caustic Impregnation
but can be offered for low temperature mercerising along with a chilling
plant.
The machine is equipped with a Filter and Circulating Pump in the
Impregnator and in the Stabiliser (Optional) for liquor circulation.
The Stabilising zone is followed by a Recuperator, Washing tanks and a
Neutralising Section at the end to does acid to neutralise the fabric if
required.
Merceriser BU is equipped with a 21 metres capacity Recuperator Unit
followed by a number of Washing Tanks as determined by fabric quality and
production needs. All Guide Rollers in Washing and Recuperating Tank are
in Stainless Steel construction.
The Recuperator and the First Washing Tank can be equipped with Spray Jets
with Re-circulating Pump and Filter for more efficient Caustic removal.
All Squeezers are driven by an AC Inverter controlled Motor with directly
coupled Speed Reducers and on request can be equipped with Automatic
Controls as may be desired.
Merceriser Model "Ultima" is the Combination of our Merceriser is
identical to Merceriser Model BU. Impregnator is identical to Merceriser
BU with Buoyancy Principle. However Stabiliser is similar to that of our
Merceriser Model M, with individual compartment, which results in
considerable saving of Caustic as residual caustic collected from the
stabiliser is at a higher concentration as compared to normal Buoyancy
Principle Merceriser.
Stabilizer is compartmentalised and each compartment is provided with a
Stainless Steel pump with a mechanical seal and filter which collects the
hot wash liquor from the first washing compartment and pumps it to the
last section of the stabilizer. This liquor is sprayed onto the fabric.
Similarly from this last section, the liquor is collected, filtered and
pumped to the preceding section. This continues till the first stabilizing
section, where the residual liquor is taken for recovery / disposal.
Salient Features

Simple and sturdy construction, easy handling and
maintenance, large diameter lower rollers in Stainless Steel construction
with guided vertical movement are the main features of the machine which
works on the Buoyancy principle.

Continuous and even Impregnation over the entire width
of the fabric give excellent results.

Squeezing action on fabric is controlled by the density
and level of Lye in the Trough.

Covered Stabilising Tank ensures better caustic removal
while fabric is stabilised.

Speed Range from 2-5 to 15 mtrs/min up to 10-30 to 90
mtrs / min.
6.
Both models of Mercerisers can be equipped with in-line
Continuous Drying Range, Float Dryer or Loop Dryer.
